Discussion Points

  • Trash Collection: Businesses are concerned about the switch to Econowaste. Each business must negotiate their own deal. No changes allowed for six months. Rates for some businesses have increased up to 3x.
  • Flood Situation: Monitoring local flooding; awareness of high water in Bear Lake.
  • Community Events:
    • Daddy/Daughter dance at Four Seasons on June 17th (hosted by Cache Valley Light and Sound and Suicide Coalition).
    • Cache K9’s Cares event for New Vision Intake and Shelter.
    • Health Days activities (Family Bike Ride, Kids Bike Race, Car Show).

  • Golf Tournament Logistics:
    • Fill the one remaining hole sponsorship.
    • Recruit two more teams to reach full capacity.
    • Hole sponsors must be set up by 8:40 am on May 17th.
  • Business Advocacy: Plan a meeting with the Mayor and City Council to discuss trash collection issues.
  • Race Bags: Provide items for race bags to Richard Varela (Smithfield Recreation).
